Continuing with the Clean Up Campaign for our Village… I met with Rowen Ravera-Bauer and Tamzin Adriaans from U-Turn.
Please open the link for more information on U-Turn.

“U-turn is working with our first phase clients who are still actively homeless on the streets to help clean up the streets around Harfield Village, three days a week.
They’ll be joined by U-turn Champions, formerly homeless clients on U-turns third phase sheltered employment programme. The group will clean down Imam Haron from the police station to the post office and up First and Second Avenue.
We’d love for Harfield Village residents to join us!
It’s an awesome opportunity to speak with both our homeless clients and U-turn champions to gain insight into homelessness, while joining us in keeping the neighbourhood beautiful and hopefully litter-free in the future.
Everyone is welcome to join the street cleanups on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm to 3pm. The Meet-up point is under the covering outside the U-turn Charity Shop on Imam Haron.
Please bring your own gloves, plastic bags and a spade.”

Cleaning up our streets, together!
Appeal:
Please help pick up litter, if you see any. This could be outside your front door, or you could get involved in cleaning up bigger spaces within the Village. It would be great if you could post your pics on Facebook and encourage others to do the same.
If you would like to hear more about the clean-up plans going forward and would like to help, please give me a call on 081 412 6109.
Here’s to a safer, cleaner Village.
