HVCID Newsletter October 2023

In partnership with

Dear Residents of Harfield Village,

We only have 68 days to Christmas!
Life is getting busier, stress is rising and crime is increasing.  Please be extra aware of your surroundings as you go about your daily tasks.  Opportunists are watching us.
Make sure you set your alarm when you go out.
Don’t leave valuables in your car.
Don’t leave your bag unattended in your trolley.
Make sure you don’t buy online from companies that don’t have a track record.  Let’s try and reduce our stress and keep safe as we head to the end of the year.

Thank you so much Madoda Mange and Nic Fidelity Adt for adding more visibility and FADT vehicles in the Village and surrounding area as we approach the Festive Season. We so appreciate your commitment and help in the fight against Crime.
It was good to meet the 2 Special Response Unit(SRU) Officers who will be patrolling in our Village over the next few months. Thank you Officers ????

These are important reminders and notices, so I am leaving them in the Newsletter each month.  Please keep reading them as this helps with being part of a solution in our Community.
We need everyone to help create a better Village for all of us.

A reminder:  If you are the unfortunate victim of a crime or attempted crime, no matter how small, please take note of as much detail as possible and open a case at SAPS, as soon as you can. The quicker you go to SAPS, the easier it is to hopefully apprehend and arrest the suspect/s.
Take note of the vehicle registration, colour, make, model, number of occupants, gender of occupants, location and what direction they are travelling in.
Give a comprehensive description of the individual/s (E.g. W/male wearing red hoodie with a green bag and white takkies.)
And please WhatsApp me the case number on 081 412 6109.

The HVCID Crime Alert WhatsApp Group is a no-chat group used to alert us to current crimes and suspicious activities in the Village.  It is monitored by Fidelity ADT and our Armed Response Officers.
you would like to join the Group please send me an email on admin@hvcid.co.za

Vacant homes, buildings and pieces of land are attracting criminality into our area. This includes residential and industrial property. Please log your concerns and complaints on the link below. Go to the safety and security category and log the property concerned.
Also call SAPS and alert them and your Private Security Providers, so they can do regular checks.
Our 2 dedicated F-ADT vehicles are also doing patrols in Harfield Village every day.
