HVCID Newsletter – September 2024

In partnership with

Dear Residents,

What is special about the month of September in South Africa?

September marks Heritage Month, a month of recognising aspects of South African culture which are both tangible and intangible: creative expression…such as music and performances, our historical inheritance, language, the food we eat, to name but a few.

On Heritage Day, 24 September, South Africans celebrate the day by remembering the cultural heritage of our many cultures making up our population. Various events are staged throughout the country to commemorate this special day.

Please see our Village notice below.  Let’s show Heart and Kindness and celebrate a Community getting to know each other on Heritage Day.
Please could you take a few minutes to read about the various associations that work for you in Harfield Village.  It takes a Community to make an impact and we want to highlight the different roles we cover within the Village.
Please have a look at the HVCID website for more information about our role in the Community.

Please take care! Fraud is rife at the moment!
Remote jamming is also on the increase. Please double check your car is locked even after you hear the beep!

Please take a minute to read some important reminders and notices!
A reminder:  If you are the unfortunate victim of a crime or attempted crime,
no matter how small, please take note of as much detail as possible and open a case at SAPS, as soon as you can. The quicker you go to SAPS, the easier it is to hopefully apprehend and arrest the suspect/s.
Take note of the vehicle registration, colour, make, model, number of occupants, gender of occupants, location and what direction they are travelling in.
Give a comprehensive description of the individual/s (E.g. W/male wearing red hoodie with a green bag and white takkies.)
And please WhatsApp me the case number on 081 412 6109.
